Manitowoc, WI (9.27.2019) – Holy Family College losses in a nonconference showdown to Maranatha Baptist University.
The Lakers fell by the score of 11-25, 14-25, 13-25.
How it Happened:
In the first set, the Lakers would come out flat as the Sabercats would race out to a double-digit lead and dominate in the first set. In the second set, the Lakers were able to stay within striking range due to Rachel Kluba and Jenna Koeppler who had multiple set-to-kill combinations in this set. Sabercats would continue to stay afloat as they would sink the Lakers in the 2nd set. In the third set, Lakers relied heavily on Tasha Rabe who contributed withy five kills in the match. Maranatha was quick to answer with five service aces from Kelsey Johnson that would put the game out of reach. The Sabercats would cruise to a three-game sweep of the Lakers.
Up Next: Holy Family College will remain home on for an NAIA matchup against Governors State on Wednesday, October 9th.
